Sir,
   I arrived yesterday from Chennai to New Delhi by the G.T. Express and on arriving at the New Delhi, was greatly perturbed to find that one of my bags was missing. On entering the train, I had given all my luggage in the charge of porter No 65, who properly placed it in the luggage van and got the receipt. As the loss is very clearly due to negligence on the part of a servant of the Railways I am immediately reporting to you. Also I am enclosing a photostat copy of the luggage receipt. The bag bears my full name and address, and contain articles of great value to me. Please make immediate inquiries into the matter. if not recovered I shall be forced to lodge a claim against the Railway authorities.
