[1]8                [b]6                [c]4          [d]2

2.The area of three consecutive faces of a cuboid are 12cm,20cm and 15cm, then the volume of the cuboid is :
[a]3600           [b]100             [c]80          [d]60

3.The wheel of a motor car makes 100 revolutions in moving 440m. The diameter (in meter) of wheel is :
[a] 0.44             [b]0.14                [c]0.24     [d]0.34

5.The sum of two numbers is 24 and their product is 143.The sum of their squares  is :
[a]296     [b]295        [c]290       [d]228

Answer
[a] Let first number = 2x
          second number  = 3x
According to question
2x +4/3x+4 = 5/7
=>14x + 28 = 15x + 20
=>  x = 8
Required difference = 3x - 2x = x = 8

2.[d]According to question,
   lb = 12
   bh = 20
   hl = 15
lb*bh*hl = 12*20*15
=>(lbh)2 = 60cm2

3.(b)
 The diameter of wheel = 440/1000*π   = 440*7/1000*22
                                                     = 0.14m

4. 40% of Rs 500 = 500 * 40/100 = 200

  Again, 36 % of 500 = 500 *36/100 = 180

 4% of (500-180) = 320*4/100 = 12.8
Discount = 180+12.5 = Rs.192.8/-
Required difference = 200 - 192.8 = Rs.7.20/-

5.[c] Let number be x and y
 According to question,
x+y = 24
  xy = 143
x2 +y2 = (x+y)2 - 2xy = (24)2 - 2*143
       = 290
