1]80       2]90     3]70    4]Data inadequate     5]None of these

Answer
1[3]
the no. of persons who like Mirinda only
= 510 - (180 + 90 + 72) = 168

2.[5]Req.difference = 240 +144+ 180 + 90 - 540 = 654 - 540 = 114

3.[3] Total no. of persons who like more than  one drink.= 180 +144+72 +90 = 486
Req percentage = 486/1440 * 100 = 33.75%

4.[2] Required no. of students - 55-(23+12+125) = 55 - 50 = 5

5.[3]Let x be the no. of students who drink both
 650 - x  + x + 390 - x + 30 = 1000
or -x = 1000 - 1070 or x = 70

B.     40
C.     32
D.     36

 A.   20 kms
  B.  25 kms
  C.  45 kms
  D.  40 kms
  E.  30 kms

5.A rectangular park 60 m long and 40 m wide has two concrete crossroads running in the middle of the park and rest of the park has been used as a lawn. If the area of the lawn is 2109 sq. m, then what is the width of the road?
A.     2.91 m
B.     3 m
C.     5.82
D.        4
E     None of these

Answer:and Explanation:
1. E
Time taken by train to cross a man =     Length of train        =>   Speed =     L          (i)
                                                            Speed of train                            9

Time taken by train
to cross a platform =     (Length of train +Length of platform)
                                                    Speed of train             =>   Speed =    L    + 240     ....(ii)
                                                                                                                    24
From (i) and (ii), we get     L=     L + 240     .
                                         9         24

Thus, L can be obtained. So both I and II are necessary to get the answer.

.
2.[D].

3.[B]
.Let be the original number of men be x
 60x = (x + 8) 50
 60x = 50x + 400
10 x = 400
x = 40

4.B
Let 'd' be the distance between the stations X and Y.

Time taken by the passenger train to cover the distance 'd' = d/60 hour
Time taken by the goods train to cover the distance 'd' = d/20 hour
Time difference between these two trains is given by 50 minutes or 50/60 hour

i.e., (d/20) - (d/60) = 50/60
      =>(3d - 1d)/60 = 50/60

        =>   2d / 60 = 50/60

    =>d = 256

5.B
Area of the park = (60 x 40) m2 = 2400 m2.

Area of the lawn = 2109 m2.

Area of the crossroads = (2400 - 2109) m2 = 291 m2.

Let the width of the road be x metres. Then,

60x + 40x - x2 = 291

x2 - 100x + 291 = 0

(x - 97)(x - 3) = 0

x = 3.

Letter writing - Descriptive English for SBI PO Main Bank Exam

Letter to Father telling him why you want to continue your studies instead of joining his business
Akhila Sharma,
263/998,
M.G. Road,
Akshya Apartment,
New Delhi.

5th July 2015,

Madesh Sharma,
Lajpvt Nagar,
 New Delhi.

My dear Father,
I feel proud that you have asked me to join you in business. It means that you take me wise enough to join life right now.But, dad, it will mean giving up studies after the degree. It will be better if I do post-graduation. The higher the education, the greater the elevation of intellect. Better education will enable me to look after the business in a better way.
By that time, I shall become much more experienced and knowledgeable. At that age, I shall be able to deal with the people with more confidence. I know you need a helping hand. You want me to learn the secrets of business as early as possible.
But at this immature age and with little education, I shall not pick up things so easily. It will be better if you allow me to complete my B.B.A degree..

Yours affectionately,
 Akhila Sharma
